The breathalyzer that is an iPhone

iPods and iPhones are everywhere and everyone seems to have one or the other, now a new invention has taken the already brilliant iPhone and iPod and turned them into a remarkable gadget. The iBreath which has gone on sale in the UK this month in the run up to the "drink drive" season tells you if you've had to much to drink. The clever gadget can be plugged into your iPod or iPhone and has a small tube that you blow into for 5 seconds and then gives you your reading within seconds, it also has a FM transmitter which sends your tunes to any car radio wirelessly providing you pass the breath test . The gadget which had been available in America for over a year now has been a must have gizmo for celebrities on Hollywood as it can save the celebrity from a potentially career threatening embarrassment and also thousands of dollars in legal costs and court fees. However the health experts do have concerns over the accuracy of the readings it gives as well as the fact that intoxication levels can vary from person to person. The company selling the product has realised a rather large disclaimer with the product telling its customers that they cannot use this as evidence in court and the New Zealand police had this to say "While it's good that this device raises awareness of the 'don't drink and drive' message, my simple recommendation would be don't drink and drive at all" on the subject. These little pieces of kit cost around $50 in the US and are already becoming a very popular Christmas gift amongst iPhone lovers who are sure to love this funky gadget.
